Iza Calzado has likened this year's Easter Sunday to some sort of a rebirth as she considers it as the most meaningful Easter celebration for her so far.
Iza has been in a roller coaster of emotions ever since she had tested positive for COVID-19. After recovering from the new coronavirus disease, she continues to feel anxious and experience survivor's guilt.
Despite the challenges she has to face, the former Kapuso actress does not forget to celebrate life and pay her gratitude forward.
She claimed, “Rebirth. Happy Easter!!! This is the most meaningful Easter for me. Rebirth, another shot at life. A deeper understanding of our interconnectedness, with God, fellow human beings, animals, Mother Nature. Every breath is a blessing. Love and Light to you all!”
Iza also started to involve herself with the Project Headshot Clinic, “a fundraising for chosen institutions that are directly affected by COVID-19 in the Philippines.”
She explained, “Project Headshot Clinic believes that art can heal.
"And we are doing this small but impactful gesture to help heal our nation and hopefully the world through the beauty of "bayanihan" (Community Action) and the power of art! This is #OneWorld2020 You may visit bit.ly/oneworld2020 to register!”
Iza tested positive of COVID-19 on March 28. She was discharged from the hospital on March 31. She also intends to donate her blood to help in the research for COVID-19's treatment.
