Many Filipino viewers may recognize Japanese-American actor Luke Ishikawa Plowden from dramas aired on GMA Heart of Asia.

He captured viewers' hearts in the 2021 Thai lakorn Oh My Boss, where he played the mysterious and dashing boss Koji.

Luke also starred in the 2022 drama My Dear Donovan as the charming model Donovan.

Most recently, the Japanese-American actor delighted netizens during his visit to the Philippines.

While his trip included endorsements and appearances at events, it also carried a meaningful purpose.

Stepping away from the spotlight, Luke joined a charity event in Tondo with the Philippine Red Cross. Personally, it was an experience he described as one of the best in his life.

"We met so many wonderful kids there. It was all smiles," Luke said in a feature by 24 Oras. "Sat down with around a 150 wonderful smiley kids. Sang some songs for them. They're a little shy, so I sat down and got to talk and kinda let them come to me and ask questions. They're really curious and so cute. "

Luke also received a warm welcome from his Filipino fans during a fashion show.

Grateful for the support, the actor promised to return to the Philippines soon.

"I'm ready to receive the love to give as much love as I can. Come back as often as possible. Enjoy the country and the people. So thank you so much for all the support so far," he said.

Adding more to the excitement, the actor also hinted at possible future projects in the Philippines.

"I can't disclose what it is, but there have already been some offers," he said.
