Despite the catastrophe, Jaya remains optimistic and thankful.

Soul Diva Jaya took to Instagram to share the good news that her husband, Gary Gotidoc, finally found a new house and a new job more than a week after their house in the US burned down.

“God, your God, will restore everything you lost; he'll have compassion on you; he'll come back and pick up the pieces from all the places where you were scattered,” She quoted from Deuteronomy 30:3.

“Grabe naman po kayo, Lord!” she added.

In her post, she showed two email messages about her good news. One of which is the approval for their housing, and the other is an email job offer for her husband.

She expressed her excitement to all her fans and supporters, adding that she doesn't have anything else to say but thanks.

“And again, may I say thank you to Jesus, you are at the center of it all.”

Ever the performer, Jaya said in a different post that she has been singing and performing in several shows in the US which, she admits, “made me forget my sadness.”

“So grateful to the God of music. Until the next gigs…peace!” she added.

In an earlier post on Instagram last August 8, the singer shared a picture of their house with almost half of it burned down, particularly, the first floor of their two-story house.

She, however, expressed her gratitude that no one from her family was hurt and that “God is good.”

She also said in another post that they will miss all the kind neighbors they had that showed them the love and support they needed. She also expressed thanks for how they helped them by providing them with the necessities such as food, water, and clothing.

Jaya also said that despite being tired, fatigued, and heartbroken, they are not defeated and that they will continue to “move forward, one day at a time.”
