Comedian and TiktoClock host Jayson Gainza expressed how grateful he is to be a part of the hit action drama series Mga Lihim ni Urduja despite being a Kapuso for only a short while.

“It's my first time na magkaroon ng teleserye sa GMA tapos napakaswerte ko kasi kahit papaano, kakapasok ko pa lang, binigyan nila ako ng opportunity na makapagtrabaho sa kanila,” he said in an interview in the GAM Regional TV morning show BizTalk.

He added, “'Yun naman talaga ang gusto ko, umarte talaga ng iba't ibang karakter. Tapos kasama ko diyan sina Jeric (Gonzales), sina Kylie (Padilla), Sanya (Lopez), sina Rochelle (Pangilinan), talagang kahit mahirap, kasi pinaghahandaan talaga namin, e.”

Jayson signed up to be a part of the Sparkle GMA Artist Center on November 22, 2022, during the “Signed for Stardom” event.

In an earlier interview on 24 Oras, the comedian expressed how happy he is that he was accepted in the network “ng buong-buo.”

“Masaya, iba 'yung environment. Nagulat ako na hindi ko inaasahan na tatanggapin nila ako ng buong-buo. At sana magtuloy-tuloy ito,” he added.

Jayson said that he and his co-stars worked hard in the series to match the high ratings of the previous one, Maria Clara at Ibarra.

“'Yung Maria Clara kasi, ang taas ng rating nun. 'Yung expectations ng tao, bago ito, Mga Lihim ni Urduja, tapos Urduja, Pilipino rin, kaya kailangan pagandahin namin,” he said.

He then teased the upcoming episodes that viewers should watch for, “Kaya abangan n'yo po 'yung mga susunod pa pong mga tagpo po na magaganap sa Mga Lihim ni Urduja. Talagang pinaghirapan po namin 'to kaya po talaga pong, subaybayan n'yo po.”

Aside from TiktoClock and Mga Lihim ni Urduja, Jayson is also part of the comedy series Happy ToGetHer starring John Lloyd Cruz.
