Jennylyn Mercado reunites with former movie partner John Lloyd Cruz on television!
Jennylyn Mercado warmly welcomes John Lloyd Cruz to GMA Network.
On her Facebook account on Sunday, June 6, Jennyln happily shared her photo with John Lloyd during the Shopee Mid-Year Sale TV Special.
On its comment section, the former Love You Two actress said, "Welcome to GMA Lloydie."
The Lost Recipe actress Kim Rodriguez likewise welcomed the actor to her home network, "Welcome Popoy!"
The event, which was headlined by Willie Revillame, marked the TV comeback of John Lloyd who went on showbiz hiatus in 2017.
The grand TV special also became a reunion for John Lloyd and Jennylyn, who were once paired in a romantic-comedy movie titled Just The 3 Of Us in 2016.
Meanwhile, during the show, John Lloyd turned emotional as he thanked Willie who helped him with his TV comeback.
He said, "Nagpapasalamat sa 'yo, nandito ako, excited to be back...Si Kuya Willie, nandito ako dahil sa yo, thank you, thank you..."
Willie, on the other hand, confirmed that the returning actor will soon appear in a primetime show on GMA Network.
He also mentioned earlier that John Lloyd already met with GMA Pictures president Annette Gozon-Valdes for a project.
This was somehow confirmed during the show when the actor gave a special message for Ms. Annette.
"Ba't wala ka dito ma'am?" John Lloyd said in jest.
Then, he continued, "Hindi, d'yan ka lang. Kung pwede, kami ang pupunta sa 'yo. Pahinga ka muna, pahinga ka at magkikita rin tayo."
