Jessa Zaragoza's daughter Jayda is front lining a campaign for a local department store.
“My dalaga!”
This is how singer and Pepito Manaloto actress Jessa Zaragoza described her daughter Jayda Avanzado on Instagram yesterday evening.
The actress featured a behind-the-scenes clip of her 16-year-old daughter while doing a photoshoot for a local department store.
Fans of the young actress and singer were at awe with how Jayda has bloomed into a beautiful young lady like her mother.
Death threats from bashers
Last year, Jayda opened up in a television interview about receiving death threats from bashers.
According to the teenager, it had crossed the line to the point that she had to report the threats to the police.
“It was crossing a line, I feel. Hindi na matter of opinion --this is about life and death. This is about my safety.
“Initially, my first thought was I was concerned about my safety.”
In the interview, the actress did not disclose any information as to where the death threats were coming from.
Similarly, in 2016, Jayda was the talk of the town after she posted a selfie with young actor Bailey May who was at a time still part of a love team with Ylona Garcia.
Because of this, her mom Jessa had to step up and ask for everyone's respect.
She wrote, “Because of a photo that was taken with all the good intentions, Jayda's IG was bombarded with hateful speech.
“As a mother, I feel so bad for my daughter because she's too young to experience this kind of hate. She didn't even do something wrong.
“People nowadays treat other people as if they own them and it's very disturbing. I hope that we learn how to respect others.
“Hate is the very foundation why our world is in shambles and why there's so much violence around.
“Let's make a difference and spread positivity and love instead. It's what God wants us to do.”
