Star of the New Gen Jillian Ward and BGYO member and former Clasher, Chinito P-pop Charmer JL Toreliza, are officially joining the judging panel of The Clash for its new teen edition, The Clash Teens, according to Nelson Canlas's "Chika Minute" report on 24 Oras on Thursday, May 7.
Jillian brings youthful energy to the show, offering fresh mentorship and a relatable perspective for the young contestants. While she is known for her acting talent and strong screen presence, this marks the first time she will serve as a judge in a singing competition.
She said, "Medyo unconventional sa tingin ng ibang tao. For me kasi, tinitingnan ko 'yung mga contestants not just as singers but as storytellers. And ako since I started working very young in the industry, five years old pa lang po ako, nagkukuwento na 'ko sa mga tao through my shows or my performances."
Meanwhile, JL of BGYO adds his experience as a performer and idol, giving aspiring teen contestants valuable insight into singing and stage performance. When asked about his judging style, he said he wants to be more empathetic toward the Clashers because he, himself, was a previous The Clash Season 1 contestant.
Leading the Clash Panel is Asia's Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista, who has served as judge since the first season.
As the strict yet encouraging judge, he wants to connect with the new generation and understand what resonates with them.
Christian explained, "This is different kind of The Clash kasi nga The Clash Teens and I'm so excited to really listen and feel the energy of this generation. I wanna know kung ano 'yung dreams nila, kung ano 'yung mga fears nila, kung ano 'yung mga goal nila, at gagawin namin ang best namin kung paano namin sila matutulungan."
Returning as Clash Masters are Limitless Star Julie Anne San Jose and Kapuso Total Heartthrob Rayver Cruz.
The Clash Teens will air this June 2026 on GMA.
