A 74-year-old woman in Bokod, Benguet was killed and was found buried in Barangay Daclan in Bokod, Benguet.

The main suspect in the crime is her 37-year-old son.

Policemen from the Police Regional Office Cordillera went to the area in Barangay Daclan after receiving information that a body of a person was buried there.

Based on information gathered by the police, a witness saw the suspect burying something in the area at around 5 p.m.

The witness’ child went to the area later to check and reportedly saw a human foot sticking out of the ground.

Police also saw blood in the victim’s house.

The victim’s son was arrested later. Investigation is ongoing to determine the motive in the killing.

The police found out that the suspect has been suffering from depression.
