The Maria Clara at Ibarra actor Juancho Trivino, who plays Padre Salvi in the hit fantasy-portal series, continues to amuse netizens with his recent tweet.
On January 17, Juancho posted his reaction to netizens comparing Padre Salvi to other priest characters shown in TV series and movies from other countries. In his post, he was being compared to the role of Cha Eun Woo dressed as Priest Johan from the movie Island.
“Magsi tigil kayong 242k na tao, at nakakahiya sa ibang lahi na pinapakita ninyo na ang mga sugo sa Pilipinas ay muy guapito. Dapat tayo ay mapagkumbaba lamang,” he posted.

Fans, meanwhile, could not help but express that they choose Padre Salvi over any other priests despite their irritation with the character.
Some netizens noted how the laughing reactions have increased from what Juancho stated in his post.
This is not the first time that Juancho posted something which garnered reactions and amusement from fans and netizens. Recently, he posted a short skit of himself and Renato (KielRodriguez) visiting a convenience store in their Maria Clara at Ibarra attire.
There, Renato compared Padre Salvi's head to a bottle of roll-on while the friar mistakenly picked a pet treat for himself.
In another skit, he and Renato tried to look for a place to eat where they went to a fast food chain and ordered food through the drive-through.
Netizens have expressed their amusement and fun reactions to the skits, saying that they are slowly liking the friar despite his demeanor in the series.
Maria Clara at Ibarra is now on its 16th week and is slowly transitioning over to book two from Jose Rizal's Noli Me Tangere to El Filibusterismo.
