The Boyz's Eric on their return to Manila: 'Great to be back. Manila always feels like my hometown'

Fans of the K-pop group The Boyz have certainly noticed the group's deepening affection for the Philippines. This love became even more evident when the K-pop artists visited the beautiful island of Siargao to film their music video for "Lip Gloss."

With its tropical getaway vibe, the video showcased The Boyz reveling in their time on the island and capturing their joy playing around. As a result, fans started calling the group the "Manila Boyz" and "Siargao Boyz," reflecting their continued appreciation for the country.

During their recent "Zeneration II" concert in Manila, The Boyz continued to express their love for the Philippines. They frequently mentioned Siargao and expressed their desire to return to the beautiful island. The group even performed a mini dance to their song "Lip Gloss" and asked fans if they had visited or lived on the island.

"Coming to Manila makes me miss Siargao," Juyeon remarked, thrilling fans with his comment. "I wanna go back to Siargao. The beach was really fun," echoed some of the members.

One of the group's members, Eric, even referred to Manila as his hometown. "Great to be back. Manila always feels like my hometown... Manila you guys are our hometown," he said.

Fans were delighted when Jacob briefly covered Zack Tabudlo's song "Binibini," adding a Filipino touch to their concert. Kevin also surprised their Filipino The B fans by acknowledging the Philippines' recent triumph at the Paris Olympics, giving a shoutout to two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo. " I've been watching clips of the Olympics and you guys had a moment in Paris...Congratulations! Shout out to my man Carlos [Yulo]," he said.

In addition to these heartfelt gestures, The Boyz won over fans by using Tagalog phrases in their interactions. One memorable quote from Juyeon was, "I will always root for you guys. 'Wag kayong tumingin sa iba, sa akin lang. Thank you! Mahal kita."
