It was a night of glitz and glamor as the crème de la crème in the industry were recognized for their work at the 62nd FAMAS Awards. Among the winners were Kapuso stars Bela Padilla and Pen Medina, while Janine Gutierrez, Ken Chan and Hiro Peralta won special awards.

The event was held at Solaire Resort and Casino last July 13 and hosted by Raymond Gutierrez, Dawn Zulueta and Richard Gomez.

Kapuso artists Bela Padilla and Pen Medina were both recognized for their performances in the film, 10,000 Hours. They won Best Supporting Actress and Best Supporting Actor, respectively.

In the film, Bela played the role of Maya Limchauco, an aggressive reporter eager to expose anomalies in the government while Pen Medina played the role of Sebastian Jago, a fugitive in Amsterdam.

Bela co-conceptualized and co-wrote the screenplay of the film. She will be appearing with Dennis Trillo in the upcoming GMA News TV series, Sa Puso ni Doc. Pen, on the other hand, currently appears in the GMA Primetime series, My BFF.

Kapuso young stars were also recognized during the event. Janine Gutierrez, Ken Chan and Hiro Peralta were among the recipients of the German Moreno Youth Achievement Award.
