Kazel Kinouchi once again showed that she is one of the best actresses of her generation with her effective portrayal of the villain Betsy on My Father's Wife.
Kazel definitely made a lot of people hate the character because of her amazing performance in the GMA Afternoon Prime series, alongside Gabby Concepcion, Kylie Padilla, and Jak Roberto.
During the "Ask Me Anything (AMA)" event of the subreddit r/KamuningStation yesterday, September 11, Kazel admitted that playing Betsy is emotionally and physically challenging.
One person asked her, “What do you normally do to get into character as Betsy? Do you have routines or may pegs/pinaghuhugutan ka ba?”
Kazel replied, “Aww appreciate your kind words. For my heavy scenes I just try to be in a quiet place, a mini ritual of breathing and really stepping into her world. Sa totoo lang it's not easy to carry cos it's heavy but it helps me to separate Kazel from Betsy.”
Despite portraying a kontrabida role on My Father's Wife, Kazel shared one good side about her character.
She stated, “I see is her determination, though I don't agree with her ways, grabe yung tapang niya to fight for what she wants.”
