Actress and jewelry designer KC Concepcion celebrated her 38th birthday today, April 7.

KC marked the occasion with a simple post on Instagram showing her seemingly making a wish before blowing a candle on a cake.

"Enchanting to meet you, 38 🍰💫" she wrote on the caption of her post.

KC's mother Megastar Sharon Cuneta took to Instagram to wish her eldest daughter a happy birthday.

Sharon shared a photo of KC with part of the lyrics of American singer-songwriter Regina Belle's 1993 song "If I Could." She ended her post with a short but sweet message to her daughter.

"Happy Birthday to my beautiful eldest, my first-born forever, Maria Kristina Cassandra Cuneta Concepcion.🎉🎁🎂🎊 May you always turn to God and receive all of your heart's desires. I love you. Your Mama.💖, " she wrote.

Sharon is currently still in the United States after a string of concerts with Asia's Songbird Regine Velasquez.

Last February, Sharon opened to Ogie Diaz about the strained relationship between her and KC.

"Okay kami, minsan hindi. Okay ngayon, bukas hindi," she revealed.

"Parang I don't know anything about my eldest daughter's life. Very little lang alam ko. Since bata siya hindi naman siya nag-o-open up sa akin unlike her siblings. Siguro siya na 'yun,'" Sharon added.

She also speculated that this might have stemmed from the stark differences in their personalities.

"Hindi lang siguro kami swak sa ugali. Nalulungkot din ako dahil yung time na naibibigay ko ngayon kaya sabi ko sa 'yo may pagkukulang din, naiintindihan ko rin siya," Sharon said.

Meanwhile, speculations claim that KC visited her father, actor Gabby Concepcion at his Batangas resort to introduce her rumored boyfriend.
