Khalil Ramos also answered the question of whether he would do another musical this year or not.
Khalil Ramos made another mark in his theater career as he is part of the Filipino musical Liwanag sa Dilim, where he plays Elesi.
In an interview with GMANetwok.com, the Kapuso actor said it is “heartwarming” to see the audience's perception of the musical.
“We've been working on the musical since December. It's so heartwarming to see the audience love it. Of course, there are mixed reviews. There are people who may not like it, there are people who enjoyed it, and of course, we respect that,” Khalil said.
Khalil added that hearing the audience's responses to their performance is already an achievement for him.
“But kami, especially me as an actor, when I hear them laugh, when I hear the sniffles of the audience when they cry, that on its own is already an achievement for me because I was able to take them through a journey of emotions. And that's my goal as an actor,” he continued.
Khalil made his theatrical debut in 2023 when he played Jon in the musical Tick, Tick...Boom!
When asked whether he would be doing another musical this year, Khalil highlighted how being part of musical plays requires much time.
“Ako, hindi na muna this year. Maybe. For me, maybe it's a once-per-year type of thing kasi it takes a lot of time. But who knows? Maybe next year or maybe at the end of the year. Not closing my doors naman,” Khalil explained.
Aside from Khalil, Sparkle stars Anthony Rosaldo, Rita Daniela, and Brianna Bunagan are also part of Liwanag sa Dilim.
Meanwhile, Khalil took part in the 2025 CinePanalo Film Festival, where he bagged the Best Actor award for his role as Olsen in JP Habac's Olsen's Day. He tied with child actor JP Larroder for the award.
