Actress and 'It's Showtime' host Kim Chiu to Taiwanese star Barbie Hsu: “Thank you sa makulay namin childhood.”

Actress and host Kim Chiu made a tribute post to the late Taiwanese star Barbie Hsu.

On February 3, the news of her passing shocked many as she died at the age of 48.

The It's Showtime host looked back on how she would immediately go home after school just to watch Meteor Garden. She also thanked the late Taiwanese actress for making her childhood colorful.

“Naalala ko after school, magmamadali ako umuwi para mapanood lang ang [Meteor Garden]. [Kapag] di ko na maabutan, makikinood ako sa karinderya sa labas ng school namin.

“I love you SanChai!!!! May you rest in peace! Thank you sa makulay namin childhood. Pigtail braids!” she wrote on X (formerly Twitter). /p>

Other Meteor Garden actors such as Jerry Yan, who played the role Dao Ming Su; Ken Chu, who portrayed the role Ximen; and Rainie Yang, who played the character Xiao You; also paid tribute to Barbie on social media.

The 48-year-old star passed away due to pneumonia from influenza complications, which sparked conversations on social media about her past health battles.
