Kris Lawrence and Katrina Halili

Kris Lawrence clarified the real status of his relationship with ex-partner, Katrina Halili.

In an exclusive interview on the program Fast Talk with Boy Abunda last Friday, April 24, singer Kris Lawrence answered questions about his current relationship status with his ex-partner, Kapuso star Katrina Halili.

Kris clarified whether he and Katrina are back together, following widespread speculation from netizens who frequently see them together in photos on social media, often accompanied by their daughter, Katie.

“No, we have not. Hindi kami nagkabalikan, Tito Boy,” Kris said.

Despite the situation, he is deeply grateful for the chance to reconnect with Katrina, noting how much this has benefited their daughter.

“But like I've said, I'm really, really grateful for this time that we have together because honestly, when we became okay this year 2026, Katie has been probably the best that I've seen her,” he expressed.

Highlighting the positive impact of their improved co-parenting dynamic, Kris observed a noticeable transformation in their daughter's demeanor.

“Her smile has been more genuine. 'Yung kilos niya, mas gumanda. You could just tell that she's so much happier,” Kris shared.

He also emphasized that he and Katrina are currently focused on a healthy co-parenting arrangement to ensure their daughter receives the full support she needs.

“We're doing this all for Katie. Where the road leads, we don't know. But at least it's fun,” he said.

The conversation also touched upon their recent trip to El Nido, which Katrina described as a pivotal moment that helped “reset” their friendship.

“Reset po ng friendship. Kasi parang first time namin mag-bonding noon,” Katrina said.

She also mentioned that their interactions in the past were often brief and limited before Kris eventually moved to the United States.

Reflecting on the progress they've made in their relationship, Katrina noted how much more time they have been spending together lately.

“Ngayon, nag-uusap kami, magkasama kami talaga nang matagal,” said Katrina.

When asked directly if they are currently single, both Kris and Katrina responded, “Yes po.”

“Sa ngayon nag-e-enjoy lang kami sa company ng bawat isa,” Katrina added.

Recently, Katrina also addressed their relationship status during an interview on Chika Minute, stating that she has nothing to disclose for now, choosing to keep it a “secret.”

“Sa balikan po? Wala, secret lang. Secret,” Katrina replied.

“Wala tayong sasagutin, bawal daw. Bawal daw po sumagot,” she added.

According to Katrina, what matters more to her right now is that the bond between Kris and their daughter, Katie, is growing stronger, something she has long hoped for.

“Happy ako na nakikita ko na nagiging tatay talaga siya, at nararamdaman ko talaga 'yung pagiging present niya as tatay,” she said.
