During a recent virtual press conference of Ever Bilena, the local makeup brand that Kyline Alcantara endorses, the Kapuso actress talked about championing authenticity when it comes to beauty and social media.

She also talked about the beautiful bond between her and her I Left My Heart in Sorsogon co-star and love team, Mavy Legaspi.

“Every time na nagkakaroon ako ng problem, laging nandiyan si Mavy to help me,” Kyline revealed. “And isa si Mavy sa mga sinasabi kong friends na kapag napupunta ko sa rock bottom, nandiyan siya to pull me up sa rock bottom na 'yun.”

She also shared what it's like working alongside Mavy on the set of their upcoming Kapuso series.

“How was it working with Mavy? Fun. It's not that hard. Pero minsan kasi nanghihingi siya sa akin ng advice. Doon nagiging hard, kapag nanghihingi siya sa akin ng advice kung paano umacting,” she said.

Kyline continued, “Because I'm not the type of person naman na magko-correct ng work ng isang tao. Because sila 'yon eh. 'Yun 'yung authentic self nila, pinapakita nila. Overall, it's really fun. Until now…'cause we're still taping pala. It's really fun to work with him kasi genuine lang talaga 'yung batuhan naming ng linya.”

She also emphasized that what people see on social media about her and Mavy, especially photos of them together on the set, are authentic and not staged.

“'Yung nakikita n'yo sa social media, wala pong scripted dun talaga. I promise. Honestly, nagugulat na lang kaming dalawa ni Mavy na, 'Nakuhaan nila 'yang bonding natin na 'yan? We definitely can't wait to see Kyline and Mavy, or #MavLine, bring more kilig through their characters in “I Left My Heart in Sorsogon,” Kyline shared.
