Lea Salonga recently announced that her child, Nic Chien, has moved into his dorm.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, she shared a series of emotional moments they experienced together as she reflected on the joys and challenges of this new chapter in his life.

She said, "My babes is now officially moved into his dorm. This new adventure has begun in earnest. It was definitely an emotional few days for us, but we'll be okay."
Lea added, "Many thanks to @victorlirio for driving the long drive, schlepping all the things, and treating me to a much-needed espresso martini when we returned to the city."
Nic, who recently turned 20, received a heartfelt message from his mother on his move. Lea added in her post, "Onward and upward, @nicchien.official! We're all so proud of you!"
Last May, Lea penned a heartfelt message for Nic's birthday. She said, "My babes, there are so many adventures waiting for you this year, and even more to come later on. With rigor, focus, healthy humor, and a solid work ethic, your dreams will come true and you'll have a blast in the process. Until then, enjoy today! Momma loves you so much! I am the luckiest one in the world to be your momma!"
Nic is Lea's child with her ex-husband, Robert Chien.
