
South Korean actor Lee Jae-wook is set to return to the small screen as a public health doctor in the upcoming romance drama Doctor on the Edge.
Newly released stills from ENA gave fans a glimpse of Lee Jae Wook's character, Do Ji Eui, including scenes showing the actor deeply focused while performing surgery.
According to Soompi, the series follows Do Ji-eui, a doctor assigned to the remote island of Pyeondong, where he meets nurse Yook Ha-ri, portrayed by Shin Ye-eun, who is hiding a secret.
As they care for the island's residents and adjust to life in the unfamiliar community, the two slowly develop a closer relationship.
Doctor on the Edge is set to debut on June 1.
Before taking on the role of Do Ji-eui, Lee Jae Wook gained popularity through his performances in Korean dramas like Alchemy of Souls, Memories of Alhambra, Extraordinary You, and Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol.
The South Korean actor also met Filipino fans during his 2025 “Prolog” fan meeting in the Philippines.
