Actress Loisa Andalio shared a post on her Instagram account detailing the message of her newly released film, Midnight Girls, which stars fellow actresses Jodi Sta. Maria, Sanya Lopez, and Jane Oineza.
In the post, she also opened up about some of her personal reflections on the film's overarching themes and storyline.
Midnight Girls follows the moving journey of four Filipina entertainers working in a nightclub in Nagoya, Japan. As they navigate the emotional and personal costs of working abroad to provide for their families back home, the four women form an unbreakable bond of sisterhood.
According to Loisa, the film reminds viewers to look deeper into an individual's personal journey, highlighting their struggles and sacrifices in the face of judgment, much like the experiences of their characters as entertainers struggling to make a living abroad.
“Midnight Girls is a film that reminds us to look beyond what we see on the surface. Minsan, mabilis tayong manghusga ng ibang tao without really knowing the pain, sacrifices, and struggles behind everything they go through,” Loisa wrote.
Touching on the heartbreaking reality faced by many modern-day heroes, the actress highlighted how the film serves as a mirror for the millions of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) forced to leave their homes.
She also pointed out the harsh truths of social inequality, noting that survival often forces people to grow up too fast and abandon their own aspirations.
Loisa also left her followers with a powerful reminder to choose compassion over judgment.
“Sa mundong mapanghusga, sana mas piliin nating maging mabuti, maunawain, at may empathy sa isa't isa,” Loisa expressed.
Wrapping up her emotional reflection, she concluded her post by thanking the creative team and powerhouse cast behind the acclaimed movie.
“Grateful to be part of this beautiful film and journey with such talented people. @ayrin @jodistamaria @janeoineza @sanyalopez @tjavproduction. Please support and watch Midnight Girls,” she wrote.
Following their intimate wedding, Loisa and her husband, Ronnie Alonte, have joyfully welcomed their first child, Baby Runi Lior.
The couple first shared their pregnancy journey last December. In February 2026, they excitedly confirmed they were having a girl.
