Meryll Soriano announced on New Year's Day that she has a baby with Joem Bascon.
The announcement of Willie Revillame's daughter, Meryll Soriano, that she has a baby with Joem Bascon surprised everyone not just in the showbiz world on but social media, too.
The two were together for a year, but unfortunately broke up in 2010.
Joem dated vlogger Crisha Uy for eight years, but last year decided to part ways. Meanwhile, Meryll has a son with former partner Bernard Palanca named Elijah.

Former Startalk host and entertainment columnist Lolit Solis weighed in about the baby announcement of Meryll and Joem.
She posted on Instagram that she firmly believes that the former will be a wonderful mother, especially on how she raised her son with Bernard.
Lolit wrote, “Si Meryll Soriano Salve bata pa nakikita ko na. Lagi kasi siyang kasama ng nanay niyang si Becbec pag sinasamahan si Maricel Soriano sa Regal Films.
"Mabait na bata si Meryll, very friendly tulad ng nanay niya at auntie. At nakita ko na maganda ang pagpapalaki niya sa anak nila ni Bernard Palanca.
“Now, usapan na naman ang naging anak nila ni Joem Bascon. Sana nga ay natagpuan na ni Meryll ang longtime happiness sa piling ni Joem, at sana tumibay ang pagsasama nila lalo na ngayon na meron na silang anak. Iyon buhay naman natin hindi talaga natin alam kung saan tayo dadalhin.”
She added, “Siyempre lahat tayo gusto maayos at tahimik na buhay, pero kung minsan hindi iyon ang nangyayari.
“Lahat naman tayo nagta try na ayusin kung may gusot sa buhay natin, pero kung minsan nga hindi sapat iyon pag try natin.
“Nakita ko na mabuting ina ang isang Meryl Soriano, siguro naman ibibigay na regalo sa kanya ng langit na this time, ibigay naman sa kanya ang isang permanente partner sa katauhan ni Joem Bascon.”
Lolit also pleaded to everyone to stop throwing harsh criticisms to the relationship of Meryll Soriano and Joem Bascon.
The columnist stressed, “Huwag natin husgahan ang relationship nila, huwag agad bigyan ng nega vibes. Ipagdasal natin na maging maayos at matagal ang pagmamahalan nila.
