Dave Chapelle

American comedian Dave Chapelle extends a hand in the Taal rescue efforts.

After his two sold out nights at the Solaire Resorts and Casino, American stand-up comic Dave Chapelle added a bit of philanthropy during his visit in the Philippine shores.

The 46-year-old comedian recently donated PhP 1 million to the Rayomar Outreach Foundation, a non-profit organization that helps people who were recently affected by the volcanic eruption of Taal.

This good deed was revealed by Katrina Razon, the daughter of the casino's chairman and CEO Enrique Razon.

In an Instagram post, she wrote, “It's one thing to meet your childhood hero. It's another thing to produce his first ever show in the Philippines.

"Dave not only sent audiences here into hysterics, he also demonstrated how kindness and wisdom prevail the way.

“He joined us at @solaireresort in a donation to the Rayomar Outreach Foundation, a nonprofit on the ground to provide aid to those affected by #TaalVolcano.

“Dave once said, “Constantly take inventory of what's important you”. Thank you, Dave. For the laughter and nuggets of wisdom. It is no wonder you are one of the greatest comedians of our time.“
