Mon Confiado

The character actor reveals some of the movie roles that inspired his own portrayals.

Mon Confiado is undoubtedly one of the most prolific character actors we have today.

The 52-year-old actor has been in the industry since 1992 and has never stopped working both in TV and the movies.

When it comes to roles, Mon has seemingly done it all and has the credentials to show for it.

His résumé includes the films Deathrow, Aishite Imasu 1941: Mahal Kita, Bonifacio: Ang Unang Pangulo, Heneral Luna, and Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral, among many others.

Such a display of longevity can be attributed to dedication and willingness to go the extra mile to nail a given role.

Recently, Mon shared on Facebook some of the Hollywood characters that inspired his own portrayals.

“My film character pegs,” he said about the series of photos.

“In Filipino context, it is an expression of taking 'inspiration' from an ideal person or thing.”

Here are some of the photos Mon posted. You might actually recognize these film characters so take a closer look.
