Lyn Ching took to social media to share her thoughts about her name being associated to the word “lynching.”

Unang Hirit host Lyn Ching has had enough of people pointing out that her full name has a negative meaning to it.

On her Instagram Story, Lyn expressed dismay over rude comments about her name.

Although she didn't mention any particular person on her post, the Kapuso host wanted to clear the issue.

According the Cambridge dictionary, the word “lynching” is defined as the act of killing someone without a legal trial, usually by hanging.

Lyn began her post saying, “I've had people ask me or made rude comments about my name. And I get it. I do.”

She added, “I've live with this name for 46 years and Yes. I know what it means.

“Did my parents understand when they named me that I would be associated with killing without trial for the rest of my life?”

The long-time Kapuso host asked everyone to stop telling her the negative meaning of her name and defended her parents that they did not do it on purpose.

She explained, “I don't believe any parent in his right mind would that to their child on purpose.

“Just the same. Here we are.

“You don't have to remind me what my name means. It does not define me.

“Does Yours?”
