This year, Kapuso reporter and documentarist Mav Gonzales chose to clap back at her bashers.
On a Facebook post by GMA News about her baby's gender reveal, many commenters asked who Mav is, saying she is not a known artist.
Recently, the reporter quoted the post and finally addressed netizens questioning her fame.
“PSA sa comsec: Hindi niyo po talaga kami mapapanood sa teleserye kasi di naman kami artista o influencer lol,” she said.
She also clarified for those who kept calling her an artist: “Reporter at dokumentarista po ako.”
“Pero kung maisipan kong mag-artista, balitaan ko kayo,” she added, jokingly.
In the comments section, some netizens agreed that she is fit to be an artist, noting her angelic face and beauty.
Mav and her husband Matthew Valeña recently revealed that they are expecting a baby girl. On December 19, they announced their first child during an appearance on the afternoon talk show Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.
In October 2025, Mav and Matthew tied the knot, with fellow reporters in attendance. The couple had announced their engagement in June 2025.
