For actress and mom Max Collins, landing her first international movie, Big Tiger, feels nothing short of destiny.
At the movie's media conference, Max opened up about how her long-held Hollywood dream once seemed impossible to reach until now.
“My dream when I was younger was to go to LA… to rough it up and be a struggling artist. But then, I have a kid, and I can't do that. My kid is my priority,” she shared.
Like many artists, Max once imagined chasing stardom abroad. But motherhood reshaped her journey. Instead of pursuing her career overseas, she chose to stay in the Philippines, trusting that if something was truly meant for her, it would find its way.
“So I said, maybe if it's meant to be then, I'll get something here. I never really thought it would happen.”
That moment finally arrived through Big Tiger, which was made possible through the persistence of her fellow actor Alden Richards, who also co-produces the film through his production company Myriad Entertainment.
Max couldn't help but express her gratitude for how the project came together, noting how rare it is for international productions to fully materialize.
“I appreciate Alden's effort so much because we have so many productions come here and say like, they're gonna do something here… they get excited then, nothing happens. That happens all the time. So this happened, and it's amazing.”
Beyond the milestone project, Max also shared her excitement over Alden's bold transformation for the film, marking his first time playing an antagonist.
“It was so weird to see him like a… can I say a bad word? Like an ash*le. You know, we love Alden. He's always sweet. But to see him as a total bad boy was amazing and sexy. He should do it more. I think his fans would love to see more of that also.”
Now officially part of an international project, Max calls the experience surreal and only the beginning.
“This is amazing and the first of many, like what Alden said. Dream come true," she ended.
