Max Collins

“It's still hard pa rin but I'm getting the hang of it now and I'm finding time for myself kahit one hour lang. But then one hour still makes a difference,” aniya.

“Sometimes I feel sad. I notice that the post-partum blues hits me when I haven't exercise or not moving much. Kasi siyempre nagpapadede lang ako and nasa kama lang ako the whole day,” dagdag pa niya.

“First, check with your doctor. Kasi kapag hindi pa time, 'wag i-push and don't be afraid to do light stretches because it helps a lot with the endorphins, the happy hormones. Also, don't feel guilty for finding time for yourself.

“Skye's pediatrician told me na a happy mommy, makes a happy baby. So, kapag hindi ka happy, your overall health hindi mo inaalagaan 'yung sarili mo then how will you take care of your child?” sabi pa ni Max.

New kind of morning stretch 🧘‍♀️ raising a newborn is difficult and tiring, but seeing his precious lil face, discovering his different nuances day by day - makes it all worth it ♥️ l think it's okay to have some “me” time once in awhile to stretch/exercise- why this early postpartum you ask? I was cleared by my midwife to do light exercises since I don't have a tear and I've already recovered from giving birth (one of the many benefits of having a water birth!). Also, I believe a happy momma makes a happy baby, and I can only be a happy momma if my body and mind are functioning well. Let's be kind to ourselves so we have love to give to others. And btw, working out isn't just about losing weight, it's about your overall health, get that blood flowing and endorphins kick in 🤗 . . . .
