After actress Maxene Magalona admitted that she's now single, she has some advice for all women out there--and that is to not chase after men.

In an Instagram post on December 5, Maxene said that women should not chase after men and should attract them instead by working on themselves. She added that a woman should work on themselves first, addressing and removing any toxic traits and habits they have.

“When you chase after something, you are sending a signal to the Universe that whatever it is you're chasing is running away from you. Instead, you should invest your energy in working on yourself so that you can feel worthy of all the things that you desire in this lifetime,” she added.

In an Instagram post in October, Maxene confirmed that she's now single and also confirmed the breakup rumors with her now ex-husband Rob Manaquil. Speculations about their split started early this year and only confirmed the issue through the post.

Prior to this, Maxene may have already hinted at their split when she posted a list about letting go.

The actress said that instead of wasting energy trying to please boys, it's better to devote one's time to “chase and please God.”

“When you live your life for God, He will be the One to bring your soulmate to you,” she said.

Maxene also said that even though you haven't received what you asked for, you have to be grateful for it “because God appreciates and blesses the souls who are grateful.”

“You also have to feel and believe that you already have whatever it is that your heart desires. The more you believe this, the more it will come true,” she added.

However, she also warned that one should never stop working for the thing one wants the most. She even quoted the famous Filipino saying “Nasa Diyos ang awa, nasa tao ang gawa.”
