Michael previously shared in numerous interviews that he was born in the Philippines but flew to Canada in his formative years.
Meanwhile, Manny and his family emigrated in the North American country when he was just three years old.
Back in February, the PBB heartthrob told Kapuso Profiles what was his life back in Canada before he decided to pursue a career in show business in the Philippines.
“I think to briefly describe my life in Canada was pretty independent, introverted, and siguro I was still very young. I mean it was my high school years. My Canadian years were really fun for me, I learned many things.” the Kapuso actor recalled. “One of the most important lessons though was working at a young age. I started as an ice cream scooper, eventually as a sales associate at a shoe store. And also, I got to experience to work on Disney sets, Nickelodeon sets, Netflix films as a back-up dancer. And those are some things that I cherished, because I didn't know na working within that environment, that type of work, 'yung professionalism sa Canada, is something I valued, because going here was a big experience for me.”
