The tandem of Michael V. and Ogie Alcasid has given us so many things to smile about, especially their wonderful teamwork in Bubble Gang.

Back when Ogie was still part of the longest-running and multi-awarded gag show, he and Bitoy worked on several sketches together, which proved to be a huge hit to viewers.

With the former Kababol marking his 53rd birthday yesterday, August 27, Direk Bitoy took to Instagram to greet his “long time better half” in the industry. He shared a photo of Yaya and Angelina's bobble head dolls alongside his heart-warming message.

These two characters were played by Bitoy and Ogie in Bubble Gang. Their sketch was eventually turned into a movie in 2009.

“Just wanted to say Happy Birthday to my long time better half in the industry.

“Alam kong hindi apektado ng pandemic ang saya ng birthday mo as long as you have your family and with God watching over.

“I love you brother. You are blessed. Continue being a blessing to others.”

In other news, Michael V. is taking things slowly after recovering from COVID-19, but will soon return to action by taping for the Kapuso gag show next month.
