Multi-awarded comedian and recording artist Michael V., together with GMA Music, dropped a major surprise for everyone who is a major fan of DJ Boom Buy.
DJ Boom Buy, one of the beloved characters of Bitoy, scored a huge hit with the release of his newest song parody during the Sunday airing of Bubble Gang last May 17.
As of writing, the total online views of Boom Buy's hilarious live selling music video has already generated over 50 million views across all social media platforms.
And as a special gift to all our Batang Bubble, GMA Music announced that fans can begin streaming DJ Boom Buy's latest hit on all major streaming platforms starting tomorrow, June 5.
Basking on the success of DJ Boom Buy, Bitoy sat down with 24 Oras for an interview and talked about what inspired him to bring this iconic character back after 23 years.
“Kahit sa taping namin meron isang nanay na lumapit sa akin, kasama 'yung 10-year-old at seven-year-old na sons niya. Sabi, 'Ay, paborito namin si DJ Boom Buy'” Michael V. told "Chika Minute".
He added, “Sabi ko, umabot sa ganun 'yung generation 'yung ginawa ko na 'yun. So, parang feeling ko ayun na 'yung sign na mag-update na 'yung moniker niya 'yung 'DJ BOOM BUY'- it's a word play and at the same time it's a way of riding with the times.”
