MGI All Stars announces 2nd edition, applications open June 6
Less than a week after concluding its inaugural edition, Miss Grand International (MGI) announced the return of its special competition, MGI All Stars, with applications for the second edition opening on June 6.
On Instagram, the international pageant teased the next chapter of the competition.
“The journey continues with MGI All Stars (2nd Edition),” the caption read.
Applications will open on Saturday at 8 p.m. (GMT+7) or 9:00 p.m. in Philippine time.
“A new chapter is about to begin… are you ready to shine among the stars once again?” MGI asked.
In the accompanying video announcement, the beauty pageant organization revealed that the second edition was launched in response to strong interest from fans and participants.
The first edition of MGI All Stars was held on Saturday in Bangkok, Thailand. Colombia’s Vanessa Pulgarin won the crown.
The competition welcomed women and trans women aged 20 to 40 who have previously competed in any international pageant.
The Philippines had five representatives in the pageant: Gazini Ganados, Fuschia Anne Ravena, Alexia Nuñez, Imelda Schweighart, and Keylyn Trajano.
Fuschia finished in the Top 18, while Alexia, Imelda, and Keylyn bowed out early.
Gazini finished in the Top 5, earning applause as she strutted in a sultry pasarela and then a golden gown by Filipino designer Rian Fernandez.
