
Current reigning Miss Universe Philippines Michelle Dee shared the bookends of her time as a Kapuso beauty queen through a short video posted on her social media account.
In one of the more recent posts on her Instagram account, Michelle posted a short clip that showcasing the start and end of her time as Miss Universe Philippines. The first half of the video shows her “Hello Universe!” video for last year's Miss Universe pageant, while the second half shows parts of her visit to famed mambabatok, Apo Whang-Od.
In the caption, Michelle wrote: “The final moments of transformational reign and a closing chapter of an amazing 7 year pageant journey.”
It has certainly been a “transformational” year for Michelle as she not only finished in the Top 5 of the Miss Universe pageant, she also received a number of accolades and endorsement upon her return to the country.
Aside from being honored at the House of Representatives, Michelle was also named the first brand ambassador in a century of China Bank. She also received a start at the Eastwood City Walk of Fame and was a TedX speaker at the British School Manila.

Michelle was also able to meet Apo Whang-Od, whose work inspired her standout Mark Bumgarner gown during the Miss Universe pageant.
Michelle had previously described Whang-Od as “a true icon and the last of her kind, a symbol of bravery, beauty, and inclusivity”.
Michelle will be crowning her successor tonight at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. Audiences can relive the highlights of tonight's coronation during GMA Network's broadcast on May 26, 2024, from 9 a.m. (9:45 for Central and Eastern Visayas) to 12 noon.
