Former Kapamilya talent Migs Almendras got his first stint as a Kapuso by hosting the black carpet event of the annual Sparkle Spell last Sunday night.
Migs Almendras has found a new home in GMA Network and Sparkle GMA Artist Center.
The promising actor showcased his hosting skills last weekend by joining Martin Javier, Shuvee Etrata, and Janeena Chan as the hosts of the black carpet event of the spooktacular Sparkle Spell 2023.
While hosting with Martin, Migs expressed his excitement about being part of this annual event of the biggest TV network in the country. He said, “Na-mention na 'to kanina. I'm a Kapuso now and siyempre this is my first time here sa Sparkle Spell 2023.
“So siyempre nag-isip ako ng costume. Sabi ko, 'Okay, what if I do a costume na talagang standout?'
“Kaso, naisip ko na, shucks, first time ko baka hindi ako mamukaan ng tao. So, I just went for something na more 'di ba, ang theme natin ay Fabulously Frightening? So, I think I went for the fabulous part. 'Tapos I just did a medyo comic book makeup, cartoon. Mahilig ako sa cartoons kasi growing up.”
The newbie Kapuso was part of the 2020 Kapamilya BL series Hello Stranger starring JC Alcantara and Tony Labrusca. He also had a supporting role in The Broken Marriage Vow starring Unbreak My Heart lead actress Jodi Sta. Maria.
