In the latest podcast episode of Mikael Daez and Megan Young, they discussed their plan of settling down in Subic.

According to the couple, they bought a house in Subic that will be their future home with their kids.

Megan said that the initial plan was to move right away but they realized they needed to renovate their house first.

“We're planning to move there initially but after looking at the house that we bought, we do need to fix it up quite a bit and it will take time because of the pandemic and all the strict rules that are in place.”

Megan also considered their current project in GMA which is why they still need to stay in Manila.

“We have work coming up with GMA, which will mean we need to be in Manila.”

Megan asked her husband, “A lot of our work is in Manila right now so do we still want to move to Subic just yet?”

Mikael answered that he wants to move to Subic when it's safe and when the renovation is done.

“I still want to move to Subic eventually because we do have that house there, but you are right. It is definitely going to take at the very least half a year to maybe a year just to fix it up.

"We only want to do that when we can freely move and hindi siya magiging stop and go kasi siyempre with the pandemic right now sometimes construction can stop because if there's an outbreak or whatnot. That's not something we want to deal with because it's stressful. So that's something we want to avoid.”

Megan admitted that she wishes to move to Subic right away. However, she feels like it will take years for them to really make that big decision to move.

“Honestly, I want to move to Subic ASAP. But knowing my personality and how I want things to be efficient, how I want time to be efficient with the work that we do, I feel like we're going to be staying in Manila for a couple of years pa before we really move to Subic.”

She added that they will also be hosting the musical matchmaking competition called Sing For Hearts. For Megan, it is one of the projects that require them to be in Manila.

“Years talaga. kasi we're doing a lot upcoming na. We have an upcoming show with GMA, which has been announced, Sing For Hearts. Abangan ninyo.

“We have a lot of other projects na hopefully matuloy din 'di ba?”

Megan said it's best for them to stay in Manila a bit longer while they have work and they don't have kids yet.

“For me it's all about staying in Manila and making the most out of it muna habang wala pa tayong anak, 'di ba?”
