Stars of the fantasy drama series The Write One and real-life couple Mikee Quintos and Paul Salas admitted that they almost got into a fight because of their competitiveness.

During their interview on the GMA Regional TV morning show Mornings with GMA Regional TV on Friday, April 28, Paul said that one of the things he and Mikee discovered working together in the series is their competitiveness.

When asked if it led to them fighting, Mikee answered, “Hindi naman. Muntik na.”

Paul added, “Kasi 'yung pagiging competitive naman namin, alam naman namin sa isa't isa na ikaka-grow ng career namin 'yun sa isa't isa so support ako sa kaniya, proud ako sa mga pinaggagagawa niya dito bilang Via.”

In a previous interview during the media conference of the pilot screening of the series, Mikee admitted that she and Paul had disagreements before. However, those same disagreements actually made their relationship stronger.

“Yung mga napapagdaanan naming arguments kung sakali mang may hindi kami ma-agreehan sa set, hindi niyo maiiwasan 'yun. Going through those small things, doon nagiging better 'yung real life relationship namin and the way we work din on set,” she said.

Aside from their competitiveness, Paul said that since this is their first show together where they are regular cast members, they discovered many things with each other regarding how the other person works.

“Ito, marami kaming na-realize sa isa't isa na magkaiba rin talaga kami ng way, ng atake sa work namin,” Paul said.

He added, “Ako 'yung medyo introvert side na kailangan mag solo, siya 'yung medyo extrovert side na kailangan makausap niya lahat ng tao sa set.”

Mikee then explained her side, saying “Dun ako nagkaka-energy so dun pa lang, 'yung contrast namin sa kung paano kami magtrabaho, dito namin sa show na 'to na-realize.”
