Mimiyuuuh's fangirl dream turned into a career milestone after she got the chance to interview Hollywood icons Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway for 'The Devil Wears Prada 2.'

Mimiyuuuh was among the few fortunate personalities who had the opportunity to interview Hollywood icons, Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway.

The experience took place during the media junket for the now-hit film The Devil Wears Prada 2, where the social media personality, as well as actress Anne Curtis, was selected as an interviewer from the Philippines.

For Mimiyuuuh, the assignment wasn't just another press moment—it was a full-circle fashion fantasy tied to a film that helped shape her love for style and eventually inspired her to study fashion in college.

“I'm just so grateful po kasi yung The Devil Wears Prada po talaga is a feel-good movie po sa akin,” she told GMANetwork.com in an exclusive interview at the Levi's Blue Tab fashion show in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on Tuesday, May 5.

The fashion content creator continued, “Parang isa rin po yun sa mga movie na nagpa-push akin to take fashion design nung college po, and made me love fashion.

“For me po, to be able na ma-interview sila, maka-hug, makausap kahit sandali lang po, it's a one-of-a-kind experience na hindi po talaga matutumpasan kahit ano po.”

But behind the glamor was pure nerves. The anxiety was intense enough to wake her hours early, replaying every possible scenario in her head.

“Sobrang kabang-kaba po talaga ako,” she admitted. “In fact, if napanood po sa vlog ko, nagising po ako nung 5 a.m. Ang call time po namin ay 10 a.m. So, parang sa sobrang kaba, anxious, nagising ako nang maaga.

“Pero nung nandun na po kami sa room with all of the interviewers, naririnig po kasi namin na tumatawa lang po sila. So, parang medyo kumalma na po ako at mas na-excite instead na matakot na ma-meet po sila.”

For her look, Mimiyuuuh didn't leave anything to chance. She leaned fully into The Devil Wears Prada universe, choosing an outfit inspired by one of the film's most iconic scenes. Even the details mattered—down to referencing Miranda Priestly's lipstick moment.

“I really know The Devil Wears Prada po from the heart,” she said.

“'Tapos, yung mga lines po talaga, alam ko po talaga. And this exact dress po kung saan nagpu-purse po ng lips si Miranda, I took inspiration from it po and sabi ko, dapat ito yung look na suotin ko for this interview para lang mag-spark ng conversation and para lang po mabreak yung ice. I think nabreak naman niya po yung ice.”

For the interview, Mimiyuuh went all in. She crafted her own questions, carefully narrowing them down due to the tight six-minute interview window. Her focus: character relationships, especially Anne's dynamic with friends, and the beloved character Nigel.

She explained, “I really love Nigel's character po. With this movie, nakita po natin na I think the time is right for Nigel po for this movie. So, I think na-hit po natin sa mga questions natin yung mga dapat abangan for this movie.”

Then came the moment itself. Standing in front of Meryl and Anne, the initial intimidation was undeniable.

“Noong una po, parang, siyempre, kinakabahan ako kasi mga icons na sila, mga legends na 'yan. So, parang feeling ko po talaga 'pag nagkamali ako, mamaliitin nila.”

But that fear quickly dissolved. Instead of distance, Mimiyuuh felt the warmth from Meryl and Anne.

She recalled, “Sobrang warm po nila. Parang they treated me as their friend, na parang nagtsitsikahan lang din po kami. Na-realize ko na parang at the end of the day, kahit sobrang success po nila, they're just humans. So parang I love it. They're so humble po.”

Since she enjoyed her interview with Meryl and Anne, would Mimiyuuuh be willing to do this kind of gig again?

She answered, “Ako po kasi, I really love yung experiences po. So, with that previous experience po, parang it opened something to me na parang, 'Ay, parang pwede ko pala mag-question-question, mag-host-host ng mga ganito. And parang I can't wait for more.

Whether it's red carpets, international press rooms, or even local events, she now sees interviews differently—not as formal Q&As, but as conversations.

“Actually po, parang it's something na gusto ko po talagang gawin pa in the future—yung pupunta sa event, mag-i-interview ng mga tao, kahit local, international. I just love getting to know people po kasi.”

If given the chance, she already has her next dream interviewee in mind: veteran host Boy Abunda.

“Di ba, parang si Tito Boy palagi siya ang nag-i-interview. Parang gusto ko naman ako mag-interview sa kanya, parang chit-chat ko siya kasi hindi natin nalalaman yung side ng story niya.

“So, I think if given a chance po, parang ako naman yung gusto magtanong sa kanya, “sex or chocolate” si Tito Boy, di ba? Parang paiba naman,” she ended laughing.
