Miss Eco International Alexie Brooks was moved to tears upon returning to her hometown of Leon in Iloilo.

Miss Eco International Alexie Brooks is still feeling the love and appreciation for her historic win after she received a homecoming from her hometown in Iloilo.

In one of the more recent posts on her Instagram account, Alexie shared a video of her taking part in a homecoming parade in her hometown of Leon in Iloilo. The video shows her being warmly welcomed by the people of the town.

In the caption to the post, Alexie wrote that being back in Leon reminded her of her younger days and the memories of her time living there. She also shared that she couldn't help but cry thinking about her departed grandmother, who would have congratulated her upon her return. She also added that her tears “were not just for the past, but for the love that never left. The kind of love only home can give.”

The homecoming in Leon is just the latest accolade that she has received from her home province of Iloilo. Back in May, she received a resolution from the provincial government commending her for bringing home the Miss Eco International crown to the country. In the caption to the post, Alexie thanked her “beloved” Iloilo for its “love and unwavering support.”
