The Miss Universe Philippines organization was awarded for its heartwarming welcome to reigning Miss Universe Sheynnis Palacios in May 2024.
The Miss Universe coronation night is still a couple of days away, but already the Miss Universe Philippines organization is receiving recognition.
In one of the more recent posts on its Instagram account, the Miss Universe Philippines organization revealed that it was awarded the Best Host Tour Country by the Miss Universe organization in recognition of the grand welcome it gave to current reigning Miss Universe Sheynnis Palacios back in May 2024. The organization described the award as an “unexpected yet welcome feather in the cap”.
MUPH president Jonas A. Gaffud accepted the award.

The country is currently being represented in the Miss Universe 2024 pageant by Chelsea Manalo, who recently shared that her heart was full after competing in the pageant's closed-door interviews.
Chelsea Manalo has been catching the eyes of pageant fans as well as noted celebrities like former America's Next Top Model host Tyra Banks, who left supportive comments on two of the photos Chelsea posted on social media.
Chelsea Manalo has been using her social media to honestly express her beauty pageant journey, such as when she celebrated her morena skin on her Instagram account, posting that her Miss Universe Philippines win is “more than a personal achievement--it's a celebration of diversity, resilience, and self-acceptance.”
Chelsea Manalo wrote that the crown was also for the people who have felt “unseen, unheard, or underestimated” and how she wished to become a source of inspiration for those people and that they should keep pushing forward and have the strength “to break boundaries, to redefine beauty, and to inspire others along the way.”
Chelsea Manalo just recently achieved a social media milestone, reaching 300,000 followers on Instagram. At this writing, Chelsea Manalo has already amassed 350,000 Instagram followers.
