Miss World Philippines Charity Cassandra Chan

The visit reaffirms the Miss World Philippines Organization's commitment to charity and advocacy.

Miss World Philippines Charity 2022 Cassandra Chan visited a center for children with cerebral palsy and epilepsy alongside other winners of the Miss World Philippines pageant to continue advocating for her Beauty with a Purpose project.

In a post on the Miss World Philippines Organization Instagram account, the organization said that Cassandra, along with Miss Eco Philippines 2022 Ashley Subijano Montenegro and Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas Ingrid Santamaria, visited the Mataas na Kahoy Evacuation Center in Batangas. Also with them were Miss World Philippines 2022 Top 10 Finalist Kayla Tiongson and Miss World Philippines Batangas Province 2022 Shaina Rose Ico.

This is the second time this month that the Miss World Philippines queens have continued to stand for their respective advocacies. Earlier this month, current reigning Miss World Philippines Gwendolyne Fourniol visited the ERDA Foundation. The ERDA Foundation is a non-government organization that was founded in 1974 and “envisions a nation where all children and youth have access to quality education and holistic development in a supportive environment for them to have a better life.” It is also the advocacy that Gwendolyne supports.

She visited the organization along with Miss Eco International 2022 Kathleen Paton, Miss Environment Philippines 2021 Michelle Arceo, and Mister World Philippines Kirk Bondad at the ERDA Foundation.

Gwendolyne has also expressed her support for the LGBTQIA+ community during Pride Month, greeting them a happy Pride Month and writing that no one should be oppressed for their sexuality.

Advocacies and social causes are an integral part of the Miss World pageant. The previous Miss World Philippines, Tracy Maureen Perez, made it to the final round of the pageant's Beauty with a Purpose challenge alongside the candidates from England, India, Kenya, South Africa, and the United States.

The Beauty with a Purpose challenge was also part of the Miss World Philippines pageant, with current reigning Miss Supranational Philippines Alison Black being one of the top 10 finalists.
