Miss World Philippines 2022 Gwendolyne Fourniol is keeping her word and has distributed school supplies to the beneficiaries of the educational non-government organization that she supports.
In a post on her Instagram account, Gwendolyne put up 10 photos of her at the ERDA Foundation distributing school supplies to the foundation's beneficiaries. The ERDA Foundation was founded in 1974 and “envisions a nation where all children and youth have access to quality education and holistic development in a supportive environment for them to have a better life.”
In the caption, Gwendolyne thanked the mothers who volunteered to be part of the distribution of school supplies and who helped her out as she took on the role of verifier.
Gwendolyne first called for donations back in July, sharing that she would be sending a care package and asking her followers to send school supplies, books, educational resources or clothes.
The ERDA Foundation is not the only advocacy that Gwendolyne is supporting. Together with Miss World Philippines Tourism Justine Felizarta and Miss Eco Philippines Ashley Subijano Montenegro, Gwendolyne visited the Benigno Aquino High School in Makati to educate young people about smoking and its adverse effects on the body. The queens also pushed for healthier habits like adequate sleep and daily exercise.
Aside from Gwendolyne, other Miss World Philippines winners have also been busy advocating for their own chosen causes. Last month, Miss World Philippines 2022 Charity Cassandra Chan, along with Miss Eco Philippines 2022 Ashley Subijano Montenegro, Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas Ingrid Santamaria, Miss World Philippines 2022 Top 10 Finalist Kayla Tiongson, and Miss World Philippines Batangas Province 2022 Shaina Rose Ico, visited the Mataas na Kahoy Evacuation Center in Batangas to visit children with cerebral palsy.
Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas Ingrid Santamaria and Miss Eco Teen Philippines Beatriz Mclelland also took part in the Brigada Eskwela kickoff at the Pres. Corazon C. Aquino High School in Baseco, Port Area, Manila, alongside faculty members, local government officials, parents, and volunteers.
Miss World Philippines Tourism 2022 Justine Felizarta, Miss Supranational Philippines 2022 Alison Black, Miss Eco Philippines Ashley Subijano Montenegro, Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas Maria Ingrid Teresita Santamaria, and Miss Eco Teen Philippines Beatrize Mclelland also recently worked with the Philippine Cancer Society and the Rotary Club of Makati to raise awareness about breast and cervical cancer.
