It looks like the country's current reigning Miss World Philippines Gwendolyne Fourniol continues to get advice from all the right people.
In a post on the official Miss World Philippines Instagram page, the organization posted a couple of photos of Gwendolyne along with Miss World founder Julia Morley and Miss World Philippines organization national director Arnold Vegafria. In the caption to the post, the Miss World Philippines organization wrote that Julia Morley's “guidance and support” has inspired Gwendolyne to continue advocating for women's empowerment as well as to represent the country on the global stage.
Gwendolyne will be representing the country during the Miss World 2023 pageant, which will be held in India in December 2023.
Julia Morley isn't the only important Miss World name that Gwendolyne has approached for advice. Back in January, Gwendolyne shared a photo of her with the country's only Miss World winner, Megan Young.
In the caption to the Instagram post, Gwendolyne described the meeting as “inspiring” and said that Megan brought “valuable advice and insight,” and that she was “a beautiful person inside and out” whose support in the competition was invaluable.
Aside from meeting Julia Morley and Megan, Gwendolyne has also been working hard with the causes that she supports, most notably her education advocacy. Back in February, she organized a donation drive benefiting the ERDA Foundation, an organization that “envisions a nation where all children and youth have access to quality education and holistic development in a supportive environment for them to have a better life.”
In January, she visited the site of the future Learning Hub of the ERDA Foundation in Baseco, Tondo to conduct an ocular inspection of the 25 square meter lot that will be the location of the two-story building that will be the venue for ERDA Foundation beneficiaries who want to learn.
