The new Miss World Philippines crown

The winning candidate for this year's Miss World Philippines pageant will be wearing a new crown.

There are still several weeks left before the Miss World Philippines coronation night, but the Miss World Philippines organization is already sweetening the pot by teasing the appearance of a new crown for the competition.

In one of the more recent posts on their official Instagram account, the Miss World Philippines organization uploaded a video showing the top silhouette of the new miss World Philippines crown. In the caption to the post, the organization revealed that the crown was “meticulously crafted” by Oro China Jewelry. The organization described the new crown as a “radiant symbol of grace, power, empowerment, and the beauty of a nation.”

The announcement comes after the Miss World Philippines announced the list of delegates chosen from the final screening held at the Glass Ballroom of Okada Manila. The delegates picked from the final screening will join the ones chosen from the screening to join regional winners from across the country and around the world.

The winner of this year's Miss World Philippines pageant will take over from current reigning Miss World Philippines Gwendolyne Fourniol, who finished in the Miss World pageant outside of the Top 40. After her participation, Gwendolyne shared her gratitude for the support sent her way after her Miss World performance.

“My eyes are swelling with tears trying to hold it all in so the world can see a brave woman who gave her all,” she wrote. “But like any human being, I think it is normal to admit that it is okay to be vulnerable, it is okay to be hurt, it is okay to be in shock and question myself and my capabilities.”

Gwendolyne's successor will strive to put in a better performance in the upcoming Miss World pageant. During her run, Gwendolyne placed in the Top 20 of the Top Model Challenge and placed in the Top 25 of the Miss World Head to Head Challenge.
