Kihyun is joining his fellow MONSTA X members in the military.

Monbebes, the time has finally come. After MONSTA X members Shownu, Minhyuk, Joohoney announced their military enlistment earlier this year, Kihyun is following in their footsteps and is set to enter the military as well.

On August 1, Kihyun shared a heartfelt handwritten letter on MONSTA X's fan cafe and shared, “Dear Monbebe, MONBEBE! It's Kihyun! Are you having a good day? I've thought a lot about how to continue writing, but even before I say it, Monbebe must have figured it out, so I'm going to write! I will join the army on August 22nd.”

“Monbebe I know you'll be worried even though I've said this several times already, but I'm relieved because I'm doing my homework which was already late! It's just that there are so many people who support me that I will try to buy precious time in several ways before I leave!”

He reminded Monbebes, “Members including myself will be away, but you can't go anywhere else. It's no joke. I'm serious! Make sure you eat well! Stay healthy and cheerful! Everything will be okey, I will be back soon. I will go back and say 'I love you Monbebe' with members! I will finish this letter! I love you and bye bye.”

In his letter, Kihyun revealed that he will be entering the military on August 22. Despite the sadness, Monbebes will patiently wait for Kihyun and the other members' comeback.
