GMA Prime series 'Pulang Araw' receives a certificate of appreciation from MTRCB.
The biggest family drama of 2024 Pulang Araw received a special certificate of appreciation from the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB).
This groundbreaking project of GMA Network boasts a stellar cast including Kapuso Primetime Princess Barbie Forteza, Sanya Lopez, David Licauco, and Asia's Multimedia Star Alden Richards together with Kapuso Drama King Dennis Trillo in a special role.
Sanya together with the tween stars of their show Cassy Lavarias, Migz Diokno, and Cheska Maranan went to the MTRCB office for a courtesy call to chairperson Lala Sotto.
Sotto told 24 Oras that she is impressed with the performance of the actors in the GMA Prime series.
“I'm their biggest fan. I've been watching them, sinusubaybayan ko sila. I'm really, really enjoying this series now. I find it so rich in culture and history, and the actors are doing so well. All of them.”
Sanya was visibly overwhelmed by the good reviews from the MTRCB chair.
“Bungad niya sa akin talaga, ang ganda nung show n'yo! Ang galing-galing n'yo lahat. Kumbaga, parang 'yun pa lang, wait lang po, kinikilig ako.” the Sparkle actress said.
Cassy, who portrayed the young Adelina, is also glad that Sotto supports their TV series.
“Masaya po kami, kasi nanonood po siya ng Pulang Araw, masaya po siya. Nagustuhan po niya 'yung mga role namin bilang young Adelina, young Teresita and young Hiroshi po.”
Cheska Maranan added, “Nagulat po ako kasi nanonood siya ng Pulang Araw.”
Meanwhile, Migz Diokno, who has been getting lots of praise for his performance as young Hiroshi, shared with 24 Oras that Sotto's support is a big boost for their morale.
The young actor noted, “Sobrang happy ko lang po dahil sumusubaybay din po siya sa Pulang Araw. She loves it po raw.”
The epic Pearl Harbor bombing scene on Pulang Araw was aired last night. According to the GMA post production team, it took five months to polish every detail of it.
In an interview with Eric Flordeliza, a 3D specialist in GMA Post Production, doing the computer-generated imagery (CGI) of the Pearl Harbor bombing was challenging in so many ways.
“Ang pinakachallenging dito 'yung small details na kailangan namin gawin from scratch. Ultimo 'yung gasgas ng eroplano, ultimo 'yung behavior ng bawat elements or kung paano sila lumipad. Or kung paano sila umatake yung eroplano. Paano 'yung mga explosions or ano yung tamang calculations ng reactions ng mga tubig or nung kailangan namin i-simulate na mga apoy at explosions.
"So, yun 'yung nag-took ng time or 'yung kailangan ng time, para ma-produce yung ganun kaganda or ganun kadetalye na mga effects.”
