Squid Game: The Challenge


'Squid Game: The Challenge' is Netflix's largest cash prize in television history.

Squid Game: The Challenge is confirmed for release in November.

South Korean series Squid Game has inspired Netflix to create the contest, calling it the "biggest reality competition ever.”

An estimate of 456 players are bound to compete for $4.56 million, the largest cash prize in history from Netflix.

The contest will premiere on Netflix on November 22 and includes a series of games where each player shall be pushed to their limit in a game it's the survival of the fittest.

Squid Game: The Challenge was filmed in the United Kingdom and is slated to be a 10-episode reality contest series.

The official trailer has been released by Netflix, showing the players in their green tracksuit, entering a game hall similar to that of the show, and the giant doll Young-hee making a comeback.

Squid Game Season 2 is also about to be released on Netflix. The highly-anticipated sequel to the hit survival drama features new characters and challenges.

South Korean stars Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Sung-hoon, and Yang Dong-geun are joining Squid Game Season 2 while Squid Game Season 1 actors who will be returning are Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Wi Ha-jun, and Gong Yoo are expected to return.
