Ji Chang Wook's latest drama 'Backstreet Rookie' is under fire for allegedly having sexual innuendos.

Korean drama Backstreet Rookie or Convenience Store Saet Byul has been called out by netizens for allegedly being too sexual, but other viewers are lauding the drama and the lead actor's portrayal of the webtoon adaptation.

The drama started airing on SBS (Seoul Broadcasting System) on June 19 and is based on an adult webtoon about a young female part-timer Jung Saet Byul (Kim Yoo Jung) who works for a convenience store and makes a move on her manager Choi Dae Hyun (Ji Chang Wook).

While Korean media website Allkpop reported that the drama has been called out by Korean netizens for being too sexual, other viewers have come to the drama's defense,
noting its high viewership as well as Ji Chang Wook and Kim Woo Jung's lighthearted acting and chemistry.
