Nadine Lustre passes Bea Alonzo's lie detector test, admits she's more selective in projects

Actress Nadine Lustre admitted that one of the changes she made about herself is to only select the projects that she truly wanted to do, a statement that passed the lie detector test of Kapuso actress Bea Alonzo.

In the latest vlog of the Love Before Sunrise star, Nadine went on and took the lie detector test where she was asked if the changes she underwent over the past few years were intentional, leading to the changes she's made about selecting her projects.

“It is intentional because now, I start to pick the projects that I really want to do. Parang before, it was more of 'Yeah, sige, gawin na lang natin para may project.' So ngayon, namimili na 'ko ng mga projects na gagawin ko,” she said.

Asked when she decided to “take the driver seat of [her] life,” Nadine answered, “Hindi ko maalala exactly when.”

She then explained, “Kasi may time na sobrang na-depress ako because of how my life was like, na parang work lang, walang rest. It really messed up my mental health, tapos nag-suffer din 5'yung...parang nagkaroon ako ng identity crisis at that time kasi hindi ko na kilala 'yung sarili ko.”

Nadine added, “I was trying to be someone who I wasn't. I was such a people pleaser back then pero ngayon kasi parang 'Kung ayaw mo, 'di 'wag.'”

The Deleter actress also mentioned how there was a time when people would call her by her character's name, and not her real name. When Bea asked if she resented that, Nadine answered, “At some point, I did.”

“Parang nawala ako talaga na hindi ko na kilala kung sino si Nadine, hindi ko na alam kung ano 'yung gusto ko,” she said.

She then added that she would rather people love her “for who I really am rather than the character.”
