They say that coming out is a weight off an LGBTQIA+ person's shoulders, and that seems to be the case with Klea Pineda because even co-star Alfred Vargas has noted a “lightness” about her.
Alfred shared his thoughts on Klea's coming out as a lesbian during an interview with GMANetwork.com. According to him, just one look at Klea's social media shows the positive change about her.
“I am very happy for her and kita mo rin talaga sa social media posts na ang laki ng lightness niya ngayon, ang laki ng gaan ng buhay niya ngayon. She's really, really happy,” he said.
Alfred also applauded the courage it took for Klea to come out, especially since she was not sure at the time how it would affect her career in showbusiness.
“I am just happy for her kasi hindi rin niya alam how it will affect her career but just for the sheer truthfulness and courageousness niya, bilib ako. She's not only a great actress but she's also inspiring other people,” he explained.
Klea Pineda came out as a lesbian back in March by posting about it on her Instagram account during her birthday. In the caption to the post, she wrote that while not everyone would “understand and appreciate” her decision, she said that she has learned to prioritize things that give joy to her life and that revealing her sexuality to the world is a “huge part” of that.
Aside from coming out, Klea also revealed that she was in a relationship with a non-showbiz girlfriend, Katrice Kierulf, on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda. Klea first saw Katrice on TikTok, eventually found out that they had a common friend, and then instantly hit it off.
