GMA Network wins big at the 5th Golden Screen Awards for TV

For the special awards, Master Showman, Mr. German “Kuya Germs” Moreno received the Gawad Dolphy Lifetime Achievement Award: Ulirang Alagad ng Sining, and Ryzza Mae Dizon received the Special Award as the Youngest TV host on Philippine TV.



GMA programs like Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho, Wish ko lang, iWitness, Reel Time, State of the Nation, Born to be Wild and Tropang Potchi won in the News and Public Affairs category. Ms. Jessica Soho, Ms. Kara David, Ms. Vicky Morales, Dr. Ferdinand Recio, and the Tropang Potchi kids were among the winners in the same category.

Meanwhile, all of the major awards were seized by My Husband’s Lover. Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Program was given to Kevin Santos; Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Program was won by Glydel Mercado, and the Outstanding Performance by an Actor and Actress in a Drama Program were awarded to Dennis Trillo and Carla Abellana.

The most important award of the night was given to the Kapuso Network as GMA received the accolade for Outstanding TV Network in the 5th Golden Screen Awards for TV.
